August 2017 rebrand by YouTube Creative Lab — flat solid red (#FF0000), updated geometry with rounded-corner 'lozenge' play-button and refined proportions. Mark replaced the 2013 gradient version on 29 August 2017 and remained primary until February 2025. Path data sourced from the YouTube embed-button artwork (also mirrored as simple-icons #FF0000 reference).
